About the Work: My pottery is hand built and has many references to nature and architecture. The texture on the bottoms looks similar to cracked earth. The interior texture reveals the pinching left from my fingers and impressions made from my rock stamps. The food safe glaze makes it very easy to wash by hand or in the dishwasher. The exterior colors are created with terra sigillata (a thin colored clay slip) that has a semi-matte surface. Each pot is sanded to achieve a soft surface that will not scratch your tabletops and feels nice to hold. I hope you enjoy living with my pottery as much as I enjoyed creating it.
