Size: small similar to a bud vase (4.5 x 2.25 inches)

This concept is similar to a flower brick just smaller and it has a solid middle for placing small rocks or other objects. I thought of calling it a meditation vase, but they remind me more of citrus fruit. I do think they encourage a playful interaction and intention when arranging flowers. While they aren’t the easiest to clean out, one could arrange with dried flowers or I could make one with a removable lid for a custom order. Materials: Stoneware clay, terra sigillata exterior, liner glaze interior

About the Work: My pottery is hand built and has many references to nature and architecture. The texture on the bottoms looks similar to cracked earth. The interior texture reveals the pinching left from my fingers and impressions made from my rock stamps. The food safe glaze makes it very easy to wash by hand or in the dishwasher. The exterior colors are created with terra sigillata (a thin colored clay slip) that has a semi-matte surface. Each pot is sanded to achieve a soft surface that will not scratch your tabletops and feels nice to hold. I hope you enjoy living with my pottery as much as I enjoyed creating it.
